I don’t think I’ve posted on here this late in a long time. We have been temp-fostering for our community cat colony to try and get it to where there aren’t kitten litters back to back year round. In the last week we have lost two of the kittens, one from each litter we currently have in my bathroom.

One of them we took to the emergency vet because her decline was unexpected and sudden. Originally I had posted to some rescue groups looking for help/programs with vets, but we lost her while she was still being worked on at the vet.

I have a gofundme up to try and cover the rest of her vet bill, with anything that might come through over that going to the continued care of the remaining kittens from both litters! We’ve made 175 so far and her final bill was a little over 750

If you guys could share and check it out I would be so grateful! We lost the other one just last night at home, he was just too far gone before we even got him and his siblings. He’s from the same Momma as my Anakin and was a little mini me of him so I haven’t been able to sleep. Ani’s mom had bolted and not come back after we scooped her first litter and it frustrated me to no end knowing she’d probably have another in the same conditions because we couldn’t get a rescue to come out. We FINALLY got ahold of one in the last couple of weeks that could lend us a trap and we have already caught three adult cats to be spayed/neutered including both moms.

Any help is so, so appreciated so I can make sure we can pay off the vet bill and make sure we have enough food and other supplies for these guys. They deserve so much more than what they’ve started out with.

Bumping for the day crowd

Following up! We are still at 175 for thr gofundme. Even a couple of dollars would be a huge help getting this covered! Her four siblings are doing really good and I want to make sure we csn keep them fed until they weigh enough to go into the adoption program. They’re already eating off a plate!

Hello all! I wanted to share something on the human side today. This is Anakin. I have had him for about 3 weeks now. When i found him he was abandoned and had a pretty serious URI and needed special care.

He was doing so much better with medicine and bottle feeding until today. I woke up to him having a head tilt and a case of the wobbles. I got him into our vet who is pretty sure it is neuro. To say i am crushed is an understatement. There’s not much we can do other than hope he improves since he is so small. And if he doesn’t, possibly get xrays to see if there’s anything they might be able to do for him. They said it was too early to try xrays since we haven’t given him time to try and heal.

He’s been purring like a bug all day and kneading in my lap. It doesn’t even register to him that something is wrong.

When you are looking at my projects and when I share that I am offering handmade items and commissions, and partnering to sell fabrics please know I am an individual, not a big corporation looking to build on top of millions. I take care of my disabled sister, my mom who has a ton of health problems, and my clowder of cats, which includes this guy.

Okay all, so I get to post an Ani update!

I got to start my day mad today after very little sleep. I kept mulling over how the vet treated the situation yesterday and it just didn’t feel right. And later in the evening Anakin started to habe a sickly sweet smell come from his ear.

Dead ringer for an ear infection like I thought originally.

I took him back this morning and tore a diplomatic new one into the vet. The manager was terrific and ran tests for me that weren’t even offered yesterday, and it definitely came back positive for an ear infection. Now there’s still a chance it can be both, but if is much less likely. They did an ear wash and we only paid for his drops that we have to do twice a day for the next ten days.
