No longer being on Twitter I can’t tell folks about the latest scam but I’m probably the last to know. One of my email addresses is a hotmail address with Outlook and I was informed it will close unless I resubmit. I could tell everyone on that account to move but instead I deleted it. If it comes back I will note it as a scam. It’s enough to put anyone off using the computer!

My twitter account just vanished off the screen so I suppose I haven’t got it any more? That’s one less thing to worry about. I really do feel I am going into hibernation. I have an eye test tomorrow as one eye is blurry and I have had to turn up the volume on everything as I can’t hear properly. Actually I think it is hearing loss rather than wax as I have been using olive oil and it makes no difference. When I listen to the TV I can’t hear the consonants so I don’t know what they are saying, except in the adverts, of course.

I feel that if I don’t do everything I have planned soon I won’t be able to. It’s quite a scary thought. I went to sleep this afternoon – makes me feel I should go for a nap every day. So this is what getting old is like!

Buying new stuff has caused a little problem. I remember when we had the car we left the clock alone so it was an hour out every six months. Now I have a new cooker and a new microwave I managed to find the instructions for the latter and change the time but I am nervous about trying the cooker because for some reason if I turn it off the cooker stops working. So in the kitchen the two times differ by an hour and one minute. Actually I always used the microwave time as it was easier to see so it wont make much difference. I guess the offspring will think I am nuts.

The clock in the bedroom and on the central heating change themselves and I have done the wall clock and my watch. The dog kept asking for his tea early until I realised he has an internal clock and didn’t know the times had changed.

I have found an advert for a dog hotel and am curious to know how it differs from kennels. This weather makes me long for a holiday. Now to find a picture to match the post. (Nearest one I could find)

I am typing into my old site but I don’t think it is getting through as I started to customise it and then chickened out in case it got expensive.

I did promise you a photo of my new office and I have downloaded it so we will see if it comes up.

WordPress has become more complicated for me but at least I have found out how to write more posts.

Unfortunately this has coincided with a dip in my activities as I have not felt well for a few days.

However I hope to go to the pictures next week and have a new desk to construct ( with family help) to make the back bedroom into an office. Next time I may even add a photo!

I have been trying for months to get a new website up and running and today I think I may have done it. It should be http://www.juliecround.co.uk but I am curious as the site keeps asking me to add another name that doesn’t make sense. I could be rushing it but it would be nice to get some views. I used to have one that was more complicated but this will do for now.

I have just read my last post. Alas, things didn’t work out. The mobility scooter couldn’t cope with our rough pavements and my neck and spine got jerked about so much I have to return it.

Luckily I still have a rollator which means I can walk about a mile without pain but it is very slow.

I now have a new microwave and will try not to spend any more money for a while. I went a bit over board trying to fix everything that needed fixing. There’s still stuff to do but I’m going to slow down. I think it was just a way of filling the time.

I had a shock yesterday when I was gardening. I cut my finger and realised it was down to me to do the first aid. I think a Community Alarm button might be a good idea. I didn’t faint but I was a bit wobbly for a while.

There’s a lot to learn about living on your own. Thankfully my son is coming next week so I have something to look forward to.

I am finally beginning to make inroads into all the things that needed doing. The new double oven is installed; the new boiler is up and running and the front garden is sorted. Of course there had to be something else go wrong, didn’t there?

The TV remote stopped working so I have to go back to the old fashioned way of turning it on and off at the set. I have a feeling the tv is on the way out, anyway. It was second hand when we got it about ten years ago.

My new mobility scooter is arriving on Friday. I felt unsafe driving and now will only be able to go 4mph! All these changes are making me dizzy but the most important one will be in September when I get my spine Xrayed. I need to know how bad a condition it is in. So far it is just a painful neck but I worry it might get worse.

We had a dreadful experience at a Hungry Horse pub this weekend. Half the menu wasn’t on and the service was diabolical. Our fault for going on a Sunday evening, I suppose. Not going there again.

Quite happy with my Wiltshire Fine Foods ready meals when I’m on my own and don’t feel like cooking. I think I may have to have my shopping delivered soon. It’s all change here!

I have paused from sorting shelves to write a short post. I was going to go out in the garden to trim the bushes but it began to rain.

I was staying at home as someone was coming to check my double oven. It is 23years old and now I have to choose a new one – black or stainless steel?

I had to take a painkiller as my back was hurting even when I was sitting down. I feel very envious of those of you who are managing to get about. Perhaps when I get a pavement scooter I will feel more like exploring. At present I am not enjoying driving

But I must keep up with the social side of my life, the meals out and the writing group. I have a short story to read to them and am tempted to have a go at the Scibble short story competition.

I am waiting for an xray on my neck. My son turned my mattress this week but it hasn’t made any difference. Maybe I will write again when I have any good news.

Unbelievably everything around the house is breaking down, first the boiler, then the bathroom floor, then the cooker.

I couldn’t manage the rockery so I had it replasced by a patio and now they say the weather is changing so I won’t be able to have a picnic on it. Actually I wanted to use it as a base for raised vegetable beds as it is in full sun and I prefer to sit in the shade when I’m out in the garden. So far all I have got are two tomato plants and a bowl of mint. Still, its more important to get the broken things fixed.

I started with myself and saw a chiropodist yeasterday and will see a chiropractor tomorrow, It is difficult to move without pain at present so I’m spending too much time sitting down.

I did write another short story today and I am struggling to design a new website. My final talk to the ladies of the WI went very well but I was extremely tired on my return home. Gosh, how I hate getting old!

I will try to show you the garden. I lost the photo. I moved it to pictures from downloads and now I can’t see it anywhere! Sorry.
