What was your inspiration to become a writer? Mine was watching the movie 'Lawrence of Arabia.' I was amazed how the man actually wrote a book (Seven Pillars of Wisdom) about his experiences and was hooked ever since. I was 14 then, and am 52 now.

I am sorry for not answering earlier! I did not receive a notification for this question! My inspiration for writing came from being brought up in a home where reading was lovingly encouraged. I read books hungrily and soon began contemplating what it would be like to write my own books. I have heard this phrase from other authors before and have thought it often in my own heart...I write the books that I want to read. I love adventure and treasure hunting and spies and music, and those are the topics that my books emanate. I began writing my first book in a notebook when I was 12 years old, and ever since then, writing has been a natural part of who I am and what makes me feel great when I need a mood boost! To be able to make a living off of it would be a dream come true. :)(less)

Sometimes, you have to let the inspiration build up in your mind from your own life experiences. And then suddenly you wake up in the middle of the night with ten chapters worth of ideas! It is very interesting. It has happened to me many times. (less)
