I'm not an author by trade, but now that I've published my second book ("The Empty Nest Companion") with my good friend, fellow iPEC coach and co-author, Briget Bishop...I believe that constitutes being an author! The past year of writing/researching/editing “The Empty Nest Companion” has been amazing, and I can honestly say that it has helped me navigate the multitude of emotions in being an empty nest mom. We spoke with many empty nest moms, as well as gathered several of their stories for the book (including ours). Our book has many insights via the “coaching lens” to hopefully provide a bit of encouragement on navigating the empty nest and all the emotions & questions and that come with it.

My first book, published in 2015, was my dad's memoir, "Tibi's Journey from Nyirbator to America", did not start with my wanting to write a book; instead it started by wanting to compile my dad's stories into one document for our family. With the addition of pictures and various documents, it slowly took on a life of its own, and it was at this point that I decided to turn the "manuscript" into a book format so that I could share my dad's story with the world. I know that my dad would be proud of this book, as he wanted to ensure his family and others knew about his youth in Hungary and then his immigrating to America during the Holocaust; a one-month journey he did solo at the age of 10 years old as a young Hasidic. My dad was fortunate in that he did not succumb at the hands of the Nazis’, unlike his family who remained in Hungary who were sent to Auschwitz.

My background; I started a career in advertising in 1986 where I was a producer for TV and Radio commercials. This career was amazing, as it provided creativity, travel and meeting many interesting people. As life unfolded, I needed to change course and reinvent myself due to the demands of motherhood, which involved finding a career that did not require extensive travel. I ventured into recruiting, which in turn led me to where I am today as a Career Coach and Human Resource/Staffing Manager; a career I totally love and enjoy.
