Settle Down, sequel to Troll Whisperer, is here!

Settle Down (The Troll Whisperer #2) by Sera Trevor

So it's been - wow, a year? But I'm back, and I have great news! I've just released Settle Down, the sequel to The Troll Whisperer.

Oscar and Noah have been married for five years and have an adorable baby girl. Their life seems just about perfect, but then a family emergency brings Noah's bigoted parents back into his life.

The Troll Whisperer was Oscar's story - with Noah's help, he confronts his past to become a better person. In Settle Down, it's Noah's turn to do some painful work. No worries, though - I love these boys so much I gave them two HEAs!

I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I think you'll love revisiting these characters as much as I did! It's available on Kindle as a KU read here.

FYI I've also made a new edition of The Troll Whisperer. It has a gorgeous new cover and now comes packaged with The Pink Wedding. If you already have a copy, you can pick up the new edition for free here.

Curses, Foiled Again is now in audio!

I'm pleased to tell you that Curses, Foiled Again is now available as an audiobook, narrated by the talented Michael T Bradley! He did such an amazing job of bringing the characters to life, especially John and Felix. Don't take my word for it - go listen to the audio sample! I'm so excited that this is out in the world, and hope you'll give it a listen! You can get it here at Audible.

In celebration of the release of the audiobook, I've written a 10,000 word short story sequel called Astray Saves the Day, told from the point of view of Astray, John's cat. I loved writing from her perspective - it came very naturally. Maybe I was a cat in a past life. :P Get your copy at Prolific Works or Book Funnel.

Son of Beauty, God of Death out TODAY

Today is the day! Son of Beauty, God of Death by Sera Trevor is LIVE on Amazon! I've decided to run it one more day at $.99, so grab it now! It's also a KU read for all you subscribers. :D

Blurb: Love blooms, even in death...

When the goddess of beauty steals a precious flower from Thaedus, god of death, he demands retribution—her son Prosoper must become his prisoner. To his surprise, Prosoper is far from an unwilling captive.

Prosoper has been kept isolated from the world by his mother, who is determined to protect his innocence. But Prosoper is nearly two centuries old and longs to break free from his mother's control.

Only the God of Death can give Prosoper the chance at life he desires. And only the Son of Beauty can save Thaedus from despair.

This fantasy novella is inspired by the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone, with a gay romance twist! Perfect for fans of mythology and fairy tales.

Son of Beauty, God of Death

Hi everyone! It's been a while. I'm happy to announce that my latest novella, Son of Beauty, God of Death, is coming out May 19th! My inspiration for this novella was the myth of Hades and Persephone, with an mm twist, of course. I have always loved mythology, so it was fun to write some of my own.

It's up for preorder on Amazon right now for $.99. Full price will be $2.99, so I suggest you grab it now! Link is here.

Earthly Pleasures is live!

It's happened! Earthly Pleasures is now officially released on Amazon. I'm so excited to have this out in the world. Paurick and Laurel's love story was a pleasure to write, and hopefully to read as well! There's been some great early reviews already. Here's what Divine Magazine had to say:

"Earthly Pleasures is a sweet seduction. A unique slice of historical fantasy, that has just a touch of magic and whole lot of lovin' [...] a beautiful, slow burn of chemistry and romance. Earthly Pleasures was a beautiful story about love, growth, faith, and not judging others by their outward appearance. I've already ordered my paperback."

You can buy the ebook for $3.99 here, and Kindle Unlimited subscribers can read it for free. It's also available in paperback for $13.99, if you want that gorgeous Natasha Snow cover for your bookshelf.

Hope you all enjoy it! Would love to know what you think.

Earthly Pleasures is almost here!

It's been a long road, but my next book, Earthly Pleasures, will be published November 7, 2018. Many apologies for the delay - I hope it will be worth it! You can preorder it now by clicking here - that way, you're sure to get it the moment it's available. :)

I can't wait for you to read Prince Paurick and Brother Laurel's love story! It's probably the most romantic book I've ever written - and the sexiest, too. To refresh your memory, here's he blurb:

Prince Paurick is a hedonistic degenerate—or at least that’s what his father and the rest of the royal family think of him, and he’s happy to live down to their expectations. But when the crops of their kingdom start failing, the king commands that Paurick be joined to Brother Laurel, a monk, in order to combine Paurick’s royal magic with that of the Goddess, and thus bring fertility back to the land. The union is only meant to be temporary, but Brother Laurel is so ugly and prudish that it might as well be an eternity. However, as they get to know one another, Paurick realizes he has misjudged Laurel and finds himself falling for the thoughtful and sensitive young man. The fate of the kingdom relies on their sexual union, but as time goes on, it becomes clear that the fate of their hearts is in jeopardy as well.

Also! I've started a Facebook readers group! It's called Consorting with Sera Trevor, and you can find it here. This group will allow you to have direct access to me. I'll be sharing behind the scenes info, snippets of WIPs, research notes, and insights into my books. We can also talk about fantasy, romance, or whatever else we feel like! I haven't run a reader's group before, so I'm really excited to get this party started. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Thanks for your patience with this - I'm so looking forward to you all reading Earthly Pleasures! :D

Earthly Pleasures cover reveal!

Earthly_Pleasures_f500

So I've got some good news and some bad news. Good news is, I have my cover for Earthly Pleasures, made by the fantastic Natasha Snow! Isn't it great? She perfectly captured the mood of the book - sexy, fun, and a little cheeky. And that model is the PERFECT Prince Paurick!

The bad news? I don't have the book done yet! A combination of running into a plot hole at 75% through the first draft, some health issues, and having my kids at home for the summer derailed me from my original time line. I had really hoped to have this out to you by August, but it's looking more like September. As penance, you can read another excerpt on my blog here, this time from Laurel's point of view. (You can read the first excerpt I posted here.) Enjoy!

Interview with Edmond Manning

Have you ever had a book change your life?

If you’re a reader, I’m sure you have. That’s one of the reasons we read books. And that was the experience I had when I read Edmond Manning’s King Perry. At the time, I was going through a very painful flare of a chronic illness and was looking for anything to distract me. And that’s all I expected—a distraction to take my mind off the pain. What I got was so much more. It contains incredible insights into loss, suffering, trust and the nature of love, while also being incredibly funny and uplifting. The main character, Vin Vanbly, is one of the most fascinating characters I have ever encountered. It’s a book that benefits strongly from going in completely blind, so I’m not going to spoil it for you. (Although I will say two things: 1) Put your trust in Vin, even when it seems like he doesn't deserve it; and 2) Nothing bad happens to the duck.)

Wonderfully, there are SIX books in the Lost and Founds series: King Mai, The Butterfly King, King John, Come Back to Me, and King Daniel. The series is complete, so you lucky readers who are coming into it now for the first time won't have to wait for the next book!

These books also meant a lot to me as a writer. All writers have their heroes, but most of the time, those heroes are either totally inaccessible, or dead. It really never occurred to me that I could actually, you know, talk to the guy. But then one day I decided why not try? And guess what? HE WROTE BACK! AND HE AGREED TO AN INTERVIEW! You can read our conversation about loving domination, the fallacy of the GREAT AMERICAN NOVEL, and why The X-Files is so frustrating at my blog here.

Consorting with Dragons is now an audiobook!

I have a HUGE announcement! Consorting with Dragons is available in AUDIO! Back in April when I first published, I was contacted by Tantor Media, inquiring about the audio rights. I was totally blown away - Tantor Meda is a big name in audiobooks. So obviously I said yes!

I've been holding off on the announcement because I wasn't sure until recently when it would be coming out. Turns out it's TOMORROW, but you can order your copy now!

I wasn't sure how I would feel about hearing my book, but it was honestly one of the best experiences in my creative life. The narrator, Philip Alces, did such an amazing job bringing all of the characters to life.

I highly recommend you check it out. If you liked the book, you will LOVE this!

Buy it on Amazon here or at Tantor here.
