It would have to be my short story collection "One More Chance." The reason is because I believe everyone may find something of themselves or those they love in my "slice-of-life" stories. The format of a short story collection also lets the reader pick and choose what and when to read, much like a magazine, without having to block off much time to read them as with most chapter books. Some of the stories are very, very short because they just worked out that way. I think anyone who reads them would have a good eye into my writing mind. (less)

When it happens to me I take myself away from writing, spend time in nature or doing simple chores around my home. Somehow I always wind up just organically longing to write again, ideas begin churning in my freed up mind and I can't wait to write something again. Another thing that helps me is working on more than one project at a time. Having a blog where I share poetry, stories or just my opinion keeps me writing because I don't want to let my readers down. Though I can encounter dry spells there as well and return to nature or other tactile chores. Thank you for asking this question. Much success wished your way. (less)

On Writing & Thinking About Writing

The thing about writing I find most fascinating is that even when I hit the wall and think I will never write again, I do.

Time after time I return to the page where my world becomes calm, safe and supportive as I write yet again.

What fascinates me so is that even when we think we are "empty" and there is nothing more to say, there is always something more to say, something inspiring will spark my Read more of this blog post »
