A very random but not so random walk!

Today early morning was a delightful journey. I felt like going for a long walk and immediately decided against my PlayStation 3. I took shower, had the breakfast, wore my shoes, sneaked inside a warm jacket and finally I moved out of the comforts of my home, and moved towards my much anticipated long walk.

The day was bright and the wind was exquisite. I felt serene, which I had not felt in ages. As I part walked and part ran; my eyes fell on a mother. She was sitting on the corner of the road with her kid: without a bath for days, without food, untidy clothes and nothing between their feet and the mother earth, shivering in cold and out there with nowhere to go. The amount of serenity I was feeling sometime ago went for a toss, as I saw the imbalance between our lives.

A car stopped suddenly in front of her. A boy in his teens came out of his BMW and gave packets of food, a shawl, a packet of money I guess and left; as fast as he came.

It all happened in a trance and she smiled. The sight her kid did not even know the meaning of then. May be, he will- someday! I walked back home smiling, knowing in my heart that, I had already walked millions of miles as soon as I understood the smile on her face.
