I grew up (in age only) in rural North Carolina and central Ohio, so people watching has been great. Dungeons and Dragons (second ed!) and trying to be a Dungeon Master with a future lawyer, brilliant tech guys, and someone who read the books for fun taught me how to weave a good story and make any holes air tight. I've been in a writers' group since 2002. They have taught me invaluable lessons in critiquing and editing and reading outside my genre. I'm in a science fiction/fantasy writers' group with two other wonderful writers, who challenge what I've submitted, and I love them for it. ...more
