I am going to be doing a Facebook release party for the release of Soul Discovery (Soul Series Book 5). This is the final book in the series and will be released on January 9, 2015!! Please contact me if you are willing to host for an hour or if you are willing to donate items for giveaways during the party! The times will depend on the responses I get!

Progress
I have been working on getting my name out there. I have started a Twitter account you can follow me on there @mlshanklin and I have been going to my Pinterest account and actually pinning stuff.
The most exciting one for me is I have been meeting with my cousin who is designing a website for me :) Hopefully before too much longer I will have my website and blog up and running.
For now you can always find me on Facebook and here as well as Google Plus and Linkedin.
Next step is to start finding events that I can attend :)

New Release
I am very excited that the third book in my Soul Series, Soul Knowledge will be released on Friday!
I have finished writing book four Soul Freedom and it is currently being reviewed by Ari for all the magick that she does to them to make them presentable for all of you wonderful readers :)
I have yet to start book 5 (or even come up with a title) but don't worry I plan to keep up and release book 4 in early December and book 5 (the final installment to this story) in early January.
My writing process seems to be original but it works for me. I work so much better when I just sit down with no time constraints and just write. That is how the story flows out of me. I tend to write over half of a book in one day and then finish it up with a couple of sessions of a few hours. That process doesn't work for many but I don't fight it because it seems to be working great for me :)

Just getting started
As a new author it is very scary and confusing trying to figure out what to do and what not to do. I have never had a blog and I don't have a big social media presence. I have now been told that I need to have both so here goes. Follow along on my journey as I begin my career as an author. I am sure there is going to be plenty of times that I will facepalm and say I can't believe I did that. If you want to make sure that you don't miss those moments follow this blog. I plan to put on here all the things that I do right and all the things that I do wrong. I will also give you the scatterbrained things that I sometimes do.
To show you how scatterbrained I can be I will tell you the latest thing. I sent my cover and the book to the formatter to prepare it for publishing. At least I thought I did. I got an email the next day from the formatter telling me that I sent him the cover and the book description. That was definitely a facepalm moment.
