I am an engineer by education, but since I was young, I loved the subjects of history geography and poetry.

I was born in Beirut, Lebanon and my childhood was spent in a loving and peaceful family but in a tormented country. I was a shy boy, however easy-going and longing to discover the world. In middle and high school, I attended the Jesuit institution perched on a woody hill gazing at the city. I learned education fundamentals, in particular three languages (Arabic, French, and English).

Just when I was getting into college, the civil war broke up, so I went to Brussels, Belgium. It was a new life, a new world, new friends, new responsibilities and choices. I earned a degree as a civil engineer, specializing in geotechnical engineering.
