A Big Bonanza Kind of Birthday – It’s My Birthday Y’all!
December 30th – My Birthdate
For most of my life, my birthday has always felt like another day because of the date. It’s kind of hard to follow up being born after the Saviour of the world, right? Well, last year, I came to the realization while my mother carried me for nine months, my heavenly Father carried me for thousands of years in His spirit and this is the day He decided to release me into the earth. Last year, I decided to embrace my birthdate and do what the greatest gift did, pursue...

Happy Thanksgiving – Thank You Lord!
It’s Thanksgiving Day Y’all
Even with several more weeks left, boy, oh boy has then been a year for me. Not that I need any particular day to be grateful but this is the day that’s been set aside and today is Thanksgiving 2014.
I’m going to keep this post short and sweet because there is still so much work that needs to be done.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 admonishes us to:
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

It Was All A Setup
“Simon, Simon, satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.“

Shaken Down to be Set Up
Up until last year, I was like a lot like Simon Peter where I perceived I was in one place in my walk when in fact I was very far off from it. Being born and raised in the church, I thought I knew a lot of things and understood how things worked. Unfortunately, I was way off base and i...

My Recent Mini-Blog Tour
Anything you read these days about building an author platform, one of the activities you’ll often times see is the notion surrounding guest posting and or blog tours to promote your book. When I launched High Noon Justice back in September, I decided to try my hand at coordinating a few guest posts on some blogs in the Christian Fiction niche for my very first mini-blog tour.
I found a list of about fifty blogs that offered guest posting spots on their Christian sit...

My Top 10 Sheroes
Webster’s dictionary defines a shero as a woman regarded as a hero, I define and see her as so much more. To me, my sheroes are women who have not only inspired me but they have in someone shape or form have had a significant impact upon my life whether they know it or not.
In all actuality I could have a list of my top 100 when I consider women such as Elizabeth Thompson and her daughters, Gloria Jean Jones, Gertrude Way, Gene Adams, Dollie Allen, Paula Morris, Donna Mitchell,...

7 Prayers For My Future Son-In-Laws
Future Son-In-Laws?
How can I be talking about my future son-in-laws now when my girls are only eight and five? Not tomention,my husband flips every time he hearsthemtalking about getting married since he doesn’t think they are going to start dating until after they finish graduate school. It’s interesting though because from very young ages they have placed high importance on marriage, especially the oldest one and it freaks him out every single time. He has a hard time understanding they won’...

When God Gives You an Idea
Have you ever experienced a shot of brilliance and knew without a shadow of a doubt it was idea straight from heaven? I’m almost embarrassed to say it but I have experienced this more times than I want to admit. Why is that you ask? Well, it’s due largely in part to the fact that I’ve gotten these ideas and for the most part I sat on them. Over the years, I’ve witnessed on a few occasions where ideas that I had for myself or for others and we did nothing with them only to find...

Seasons Change
“Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years.”
Genesis 1:14 (NLT)
This past Tuesday, September 23rd signaled the start of the Fall 2014 season. Over the last few days here in Central Florida, it has been raining, sometimes, in down pours. The weather is apparently responding to the change of the season. This morning, the air was a little cooler and each night we can tell that the da...
