I'm glad you like them! I chose to use illustrations for a few reasons. First, there's no stock photography for the time period, really. Victorian and Regency, yes, but no Edwardian/Gilded Age. I also wanted to use specific scenes from the books for the cover images and it certainly wouldn't have been financially feasible to put together my own photo shoots. I also think an illustration gives the reader more leeway to imagine for themselves what the characters look like.

I chose my illustrator, littleulvar, because I fell in love with her style. She's very painterly, and sometimes her work is reminiscent of all those great pulp novel covers from the 1960s. Not that the 60s have anything to do with my books, but it's a great era of illustration! I've been really happy with the covers and anticipate working with ulvar for a long time.

Hey Darrah, glad to hear from you again! I am one of the big fans of GQ and have reread it so many times my family growls when they see me rereading it :) Your books have brought me tears, laughter and peace in times of trouble. When can we expect to see more of them? I don't want to put pressure on you but know that there is a fandom out there eagerly awaiting to read more about characters and AU we have come to love

I hope to have some Jesse stories out within the next few months. I've been working on several projects at once, and Jesse is one of these. I can't be specific about a release date except...maybe spring? I really did think I would have something out sooner than this, but life got in the way, as it tends to do.

It's so encouraging to know anyone is eager for more of Henry and Martin's world. As soon as I have a better idea of when I might be able to release Jesse's stories, I'll be sure to let readers know.(less)
