My first blog entry on goodreads is just to say hello and thank you! I wrote my first novel, The Devil in Canaan Parish, five years ago during a very difficult time in my life. I had been carrying around the story in my head for over a decade, and finally between September and November 2009, it came pouring out of me onto the pages. After that, life intervened. I was raising two babies as a single mom and the time to try to get my book published the traditional way (query letters, agents, publishers, etc.) escaped me. Today, the ePUB market has grown so much, even in the five years since I wrote this book. I decided the time was NOW to get my novel out to the public. In less than a month, I've reached thousands of readers and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. People are loving this story, and I am so honored, thrilled and blessed to know people are reading it. If you've read my book, thank you! Let me know what you think by leaving a review wherever you bought it. I am working every day to get it out through more channels (just added Google play today)! Do you want this book in hard copy? ME TOO! You, the readers, have the power to make that happen just by getting the book and leaving reviews.
