My kids are anxiously awaiting their arrival while playing with fireworks! Okay, well, they just have sparklers, my husband is lighting the bigger ones!

I’ve posted this on my new page and ….now posting it here:

Well. This is it. My first post as “Josie Bordeaux.” 

(Odd, I know. It feels weird for me too.) 

The decision to move to a pen name was not easy. And yes, in hindsight, I should have done it from the beginning, but being a bit *insert eye-roll* — okay, really proud — of writing my first book, I wanted my name on it. 

Now, fast forward to two books and a novella later when I started to sway more to “I should have gone with a pen name.” 

That is where I find myself now, but what’s done is done and I can only look forward.  

While I know most authors would just continue on, this is a decision I am making for personal reasons with my future in mind.

Yep, I realize after I phase out from “Janice Baker,” that name will still be out there. And that’s okay too. It just won’t be as apparent or as easy to find unless you’re actually looking for it.

I’ll admit, this decision has been really tough — It’s basically starting all over again. Except this time, I have a lot of friends – authors, bloggers and readers – who understand why I’m doing this and are excited for me.

Before you ask:  Will I write Clark’s book – Breathless Promises? And under which name? 

Yes, I am currently working on Breathless Promises (Clark’s story) for the Alluring Promises Series. It will be under “Janice Baker” in order to complete the series (and make it easier for you to find!) 

Once Josie Bordeaux gains more readers, I’ll eventually switch the series or create a box set for The Alluring Promises Series under Jos’ name, but that’s later on down the road!

I am excited about this change and if you followed me over – thank you. Sincerely, I mean that.

It means the world to me that you’ve followed me on all my social media “places” and knowing you will continue to follow me under my new name is very heartwarming. 

Please remember – it’s still “me.” I still write the same way as I did with my Alluring Promises series – the only change is the name on the covers.

What a whirlwind!

Not to mention…holy shit this year has flown by! I’ve met so many incredible people. Authors, bloggers and of course readers which have truly made this such an amazing journey.

When I released Promises, Promises I would have been thrilled if a handful of people read my book. However, a LOT more than that picked up their copy and enjoyed it. You know what rocked even more? All the comments and emails I received from you guys letting me know how much you loved Promises, Promises! Ahhhh-ma-zing!

Thank you. Thank you to those who picked up Promises, Promises, read it and enjoyed it. Thank you to those who sent me an email or comment or PM on Facebook or Twitter and thank you to all of you who have supported me in my writing journey.

Am I a little too excited? Okay, I’ll “try” to calm down…. *taking deep breaths* Whew! I have to tell you what an amazing journey this has truly been. I decided to challenge myself and go outside of my comfort zone by teaming up with some amazing authors for this anthology. I am so glad I did. I’ve learned so much and made such amazing friends with these fabulous authors!

Gah! I know…I haven’t posted in awhile. The last time I posted, it was to share the cover reveal for Forbidden Fruit (which I’m super excited about!).

Here’s the reason why I’m posting – I made a book video trailer for Promises, Promises!

Yeah, I’m a little excited about it! When you’re technically challenged, you get really goofy about stuff like this! Not to mention – it gave me a chance to re-visit Izzy and Z! I’ve missed them, even though they made their appearances in Romantic Promises! Don’t worry, they’ll appear again in Breathless Promises, too! Back to the video! Here it is! I hope you enjoy it and feel free to share it!

Next question – what am I working on? I’m working on The Naughty Au Pair right now and finishing up the novella. Edits should start this weekend and then it’s off to my editor! I’m so very excited and seeing “hints” of the other novellas – well, let me just say – it’s going to be SO HOT! Make sure you add The Forbidden Fruit – Volume I and Volume II to your TBR!

Thank you for being so patient! It was a close call…I had a tough time pushing the button! I wanted to keep Matt to myself. I guess we all become a little protective about our favorite book boyfriends.

As much as I would love to keep him all to myself, I can’t. So…Romantic Promises is now LIVE!

I hope you really enjoy Matt and Vanessa’s story. I had a great time writing this book. I even threw in a couple of hints about the next book from the Alluring Promises Series. Ah, Clark! Whatever shall we do with him?
