New Book

My latest book, THE KING NEXT DOOR is available now in stores or as an ebook!

This is a fun one and a book I had to write. The heroine, Nicole Baxter was a secondary character in another Kings of California book called KING'S MILLION DOLLAR SECRET. I got so many letters from readers asking me to give Nicole a King of her own, that I had to do it!

I'm really glad I did. Nicole and Griffin were so much fun to write about, I had a great time!

Next up for me is RUMOR HAS IT. It's the first book in a new Texas Cattleman's Club continuity. I'll post the cover as soon as I've got it!

But for now, I hope you'll all rush out and buy THE KING NEXT DOOR and let me know what you think of it!

2013

So, here I am, California girl living through my first real winter! So far, I really like all of the snow. It's gorgeous. Though of course DH doesn't share my love for the white stuff since he's the one driving the snowblower all over creation!

Still, the views are amazing and every day I'm so thankful to be living in this gorgeous place. It's a real change for us, but I think we're actually adapting. It was 34 degrees today and it felt like a tropical heatwave!

I've got a new book out right now!  THE KING NEXT DOOR is obviously one of my Kings of California series. And in a day or two, I'll come back and tell you all about it.  Meanwhile, how's your 2013 shaping up so far??

Sunrise

I've never been a big fan of sunrises. They come WAY too early in the morning for me to really give them the sort of appreciation they probably expect.

Sunsets are great because hey, you can kick back with a glass of wine, and settle in to watch the show. You've had all day to prepare for the appreciation.

Still, I've discovered something since moving to the Top of Utah...... Sunrises here can make you appreciate them in spite of the early morning hour! There's something about the cold, crisp air in the mountains. The quiet of the early morning and having that first cup of coffee while you watch the sky wake up...

Who knew?

Snow already??

Everybody here in Utah assured me that we don't usually get snow until after Thanksgiving.

Um...someone forgot to tell the weather gods. This is a view of my backyard. Very pretty! The trees were lacy, the air was so still and the world was quiet.

And it was cold. Did I mention the word COLD yet? Cuz it was COLD.

We've already told our neighbors that if TV gets boring this winter, they should just turn it off and watch us instead. I'm thinking that watching California people deal with snow is going to be very entertaining.

Moved!

So, we've been  busy!  In between writing new books and planning for still newer ones, I've been living through a move!

From California to Utah! Way different and so far, I just love it. This is my first actual Fall season! The colors are gorgeous and I love the nip in the air. I know...I'll probably feel differently when the snow starts!

After all, in California, my winter wardrobe consisted of flip-flops and a sweatshirt.  Still, I love the adventure. Seeing new things, meeting new people and discovering that getting out of your comfort zone is really amazing! We do miss the family in California, but flights are short and we'll be taking plenty of them, I know.

Still, I do wish someone had told us about the dinosaur problem...

NEVADA HEAT as ebook!

I'm having soooo much fun bringing my old western romances back to life as ebooks!

NEVADA HEAT  is a terrific story if I do say so myself!

It's set in a canyon much like the real life Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. Of course, in my book, it's called Bandit's Canyon. It's a tiny town built and run by outlaws.

There are only two rules to life in Bandit's Canyon. 1) No killers allowed. And 2) Leave Miranda Perry alone.

Jesse Hogan is determined to capture the man who killed his family. He followed the badman's trail to Bandit's Canyon--and finds more than he expected.

Miranda Perry's dream is to see Bandit's Canyon become a real town. But times are changing and the outlaws looking for sanctuary now are far more dangerous than they used to be.

Miranda promised her mother she'd never fall in love with an outlaw. But Jesse Hogan is too tempting to ignore.  As Jesse waits for his enemy to arrive, he begins to realize that revenge may never be as sweet as a night in Miranda's arms.

NEVADA HEAT is available for Kindle and Nook........and once we get all the books up, I'm absolutely planning to make them available for all other ereaders as well!

New Ebook! WISHES

I'm so excited! It's great fun bringing back my old Kathleen Kane books and giving them a new life as ebooks!

Kathleen Kane wrote westerns. They were sweet, funny, sexy and seeing them come back is just so much fun! Oops. Said that already!

Anyway, I read through WISHES the other night, checking for formatting errors, please God we found them all, and while reading, I found myself laughing out loud.

I had forgotten just how funny my heroine, Matilda Pennypacker was. I really hope you'll all give WISHES a try and if you do, please let me know what you think of Matilda!

WISHES is available on Kindle and Nook!

Romance Writer on the Farm...

Oh, not ME!

LOL, I want to move to a more rural area, but ME running a farm? The animals would revolt and kill me in my sleep.

BUT, a fellow romance writer, Suzanne McMinn does run a farm. The one in this picture as a matter of fact. Sassafrass Farm in West Virginia. She also runs a wildly popular website called http://www.chickensintheroad.com/ Every day, she posts her amazing photographs, crafts, incredible recipes and all about what it's like for a city girl to go country!

She's also just like the rest of us, filled with dreams that sometimes need help to come true. Right now, she's trying to raise the money to redo a studio on her property so she can give cooking and craft lessons on site. To that end, she has a link on Kickstarter.com Entrepeneurs can go to kickstarter, and if their project is approved, can post a link asking for donations to help them make it.

They have 30 days to reach the set goal amount. You can donate as little as a dollar toward helping meet the goal. And if the goal isn't met, you owe nothing and the artist gets nothing.

Anyway, I love her website. I read it every day. So thought I'd post this here to let YOU know about Suzanne's site. And if you do go to look and you do love it as much as I do, then go her page on Kickstarter and make a donation! Supporting a woman making her dreams come true always seems like a good thing to me.........
