is on page 273 of 348 of Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene, a Prose Rendering, Volume 1 of 3: Book Two Canto Eight had Sir Guyon lying as if dead. First, an angel protects him, then the Palmer finds him and is given charge. Unfortunately, Pyrochles and Cymochles find him and decide to strip him of his arms and armor, preceded by Archimago and Atin. As they proceed, Prince Arthur shows up and protects Sir Guyon, killing by Pyrochles and Cymochles. Sir Guyon awakens at the end. Archimago and Atin flee.

is on page 113 of 288 of Swords & Larceny: "Five Beneath the Palace of Kalgranis" by Adrian Simmons was much more to my taste! This one was atmospheric and had a world that felt lived in. It was nice seeing a band of rival wizards functioning as thieves, and I liked how limited their resources felt. This is my favorite story in the book so far.
