I find I'm thinking about what I need to get at the store, or the movie I saw the night before, or something like that. If my mind is on chores, I find the best thing is to get those out of the way. The exercise helps me and I can focus better. Otherwise, I go for a walk around the neighborhood, take in the scenery, listen to some music that evokes the mood I want to create in my scene and use that as a way to focus my attention.(less)

“For the first time in my life I saw the truth as it is set into song by so many poets, proclaimed as the final wisdom by so many thinkers. The truth - that Love is the ultimate and highest goal to which man can aspire. Hi Stephen,

Good to meet you! I signed up for the newsletter..

Bob Vardeman introduced me to your work. We've been chatting about the possibility of me contributing to the Empires of Steam and Rust series. It sounds like a fund sandbox to play in and I have a story idea coming together.

All best,
Dave Summers
