Conversations
I was lucky enough to be invited to have a conversation with Richard Fidler on the ABC - with lots of people listening in! We were talking about my new book War & Peace and Sonya. It was a very animated exchange, he and the producer declaring it ' fun'. It's still available online on ABC Local Radio out of Brisbane (612 if you have a digital radio).
Another reward for going up to Brisbane was finding my book had sold out in one bookstore, and in another there was one copy left, with a label saying "John's second best book for 2011"! I think 'secod best' sounds more discerning than 'best'.l
And given that my hostess's library had 9 copies of the book ( all out ), whereas my library in Melbourne has only 2, I can only conclude that prophets do have less honour in theirvown country/ state...
