Within A Good Read

In my opinion a good read should be at least a good story as well as a learning experience. The reader should get more from the reading experience than he or she had bargained for when they pick up their book..

Bits of history, truth, humor, etc. enrich the reader. The reading experience can even be a form of therapy and a redemption. Lincoln, who suffered with both loss and depression found a way of handling his emotional problems by constantly reading the bible and Shakespeare. He learned to use the written word as an emotional support and form of enlightenment.

A committed writer should do more than just put words together. The writer must, in some way, give something
extra to the reader.

The good writer strives to reach out to his fellow human being with his written words.
