Today I am excited to announce that my first-ever audiobooks have been released by Audible. My newly-released thriller, The Markov Encryptionand the Ben Lewis short story,Powder Day,are both now available for you to listen to and can be found by clicking on the above links. If you live outside of the UK, you'll find other links either on my website or through searching for the audiobooks on either iTunes or Amazon. In what may be seen by some (or indeed many!) as a 'courageous' move, I have opted to narrate these books myself (you may laugh at my accents - but I hope not too much!!) Audible increasingly are encouraging authors to self-narrate. Their logic is that authors know their own books better than anyone else and should thus be able to get the right intonation - and pace - in the storyline where required. Time - and your feedback - will tell whether I succeeded! In order to record them, I converted a disused sauna (yes, I know this sounds crazy - see the photo!!) into a sound recording studio - actually it sort of worked rather well. The bean bags were not for lounging on whilst recording (they'd make too much background noise!) but to muffle extraneous sounds. Editing was something of a steep learning process, but I have had a lot of fun along the way.Ideal for that long commute, car journey or plane trip, I hope you enjoy them. Thanks to Roselyne Hémery for the translation - and to Flavie Bordes for the editing - my first Ben Lewis short story is, as of the morning, available to download in French - in good time for the forthcoming Alpine ski season!! Set on the border between Switzerland and France, the French translation of Powder Day entitled 'Jour de Poudreuse' now allows native French speakers a chance finally to sample meet Ben Lewis in their own language. After the success of offering The Reluctant Trader for FREE last week (the book jumped into the top 100 free books on Kindle in the UK and #1 in Amazon UK's Crime, Mystery & Thriller - political - rankings), I have decided to extend the free period for this book over the summer. I am also now offering this book via retailers other than Amazon - and it is already available to download on Nook, Kobo, Apple's iBooks and other platforms. Amazon may choose to price match this book to zero to be in line with these competitors, but in the event they don't (it is their choice not mine!) readers have the option to get a free copy from a special link on my home page.

This wasn't a Ben Lewis thriller, but introduced a new protagonist, Adam Fraser. The book has recently had a complete make-over, including a new cover and a complete re-formating and copy edit as well. Currently, you can download this as a free e-book only from Amazon, although from 24 June it will also be available from other e-book retailers as well. The paperback version is still available - but not, sadly, for free. Today I am releasing a brand new book cover for The Reluctant Trader, designed by Peter at BespokeBookCovers. I think it's fabulous and I hope you do too. This new cover completes the refresh that I have given the book, including a manuscript polish by Carrie, the amazing Hackney Fiction Doctor and a relaunch on 22 June to an array of e-book sellers, not just Amazon.to a whole array of e-book resellers, not simply Amazon.
