I promptly caught the acting bug. Thus I majored in English, Speech, and Drama at college. I taught high school English and Drama for many years, then College Communications 101 and Writing Lab. I have performed in over twenty five plays, and written, produced, and directed two plays of my own. The BBC - 5 part production of Pride and Prejudice sparked my interest in completing my first Regency romance an ...more

The next session, I do not start where I left off, but begin by editing the last session. This puts me right back into the story and I just continue writing when I get past the edits.(less)

Learning by exploring

Dear Readers - I have just this week discovered that I had a Goodreads profile back in 2008, but in all the attempts at book promotion for Gentle Journey and three home moves, I lost the card containing my password. Thus I had no idea I was on it. When another author asked me to post my review of her book here, I decided to get an author page here, too. “Whom wilt thou find to love ignoble thee
Save Me, save only Me?
All which I took from thee I did but take,
Not for thy harms.
But just that thou might'st seek it in my arms.
All which thy child's mistake
Fancies as lost, I have stored for thee at home;
Rise, clasp My hand, and come!”
Francis Thompson, The Hound of Heaven

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
Oscar Wilde

Dr. Seuss
“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
Dr. Seuss

Frank Zappa
“So many books, so little time.”
Frank Zappa

And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Steve Jobs
