Booked my self onto another SIA course. This time thankfully it is in Killie so not far to travel. I thought since I still haven't found work that it would be good to get another badge. This one will be for Door Supervisor. I have to use my ILA funding for it but that is what it is for after all. The course starts on Tuesday and only last four days so not a long course. My son had a book on the course from when he was going on one last year. Of course he got a job so dropped out of the course. The book is giving me a head start which hopefully help me pass the course. Keep fingers crossed.
While playing my game, Elite Dangerous, last night I became distracted talking to Calum. Well not the best way to play a space sim. Anyways thirty thousand light plus years from Sol and I ran out of fuel. I have appealed to the Fuel Rats for help and one is making his way towards me. He should with any luck deliver some fuel today or tomorrow. In a way it is quite exciting to have to be saved from certain death so to speak. After six months of travelling it would be a right knock to have to begin the journey again. I have insurance so I would get y Asp beck but I would need to do the whole trade grind again to replace the insurance cash. And at the same time I would lose all the data that I have collected over the months I have been out. Well hopefully my rescuer will get to me before my ship dies.
I got some peas from the garden today. When I say some I mean a handful. Enough maybe for one. With the wet summer not much has been doing well in the garden. The potatoes will need pulling soon as the shaws are dying off. The carrots look like they might be one of the few things which haven't been to badly affected with the adverse weather this year. Time will tell.
The jobcentre have said that they will be sending me on a back to work programme. That is where I will be place with an employer to work for a month and not get paid anything but my unemployment money. I haven't got a choice in the matter apparently. I am not sure if it is good thing or not. It feels like slave labour or at least very close to it. Though when I don't have a choice what can I do about it. Of course there is the old saying too, "beggars can't be choosers." Though it does feel wrong.

I'm glad to say that the wintry spell that hit us left as quickly as it came. As the week spun towards its end so the snow was washed away by the rain. I was glad to see it go.
I got an email from my advisor at the jobcentre this week telling me she wouldn't be in the office for the next few weeks. I should have emailed her back to ask who would be signing me on come Monday as the email didn't tell me. Of course I didn't, I meant to but like lots of things we're meant to do. Well you know how we put them to the side. Or is that just me? I always mean to come back to it. The I forget about in most cases. I suppose its the old out of sight rule. Which isn't an excuse. Plus I never seem to learn. Either that or there is a little bit of me inside that is happy to let things slide. In my defence I don't always do it. Not with everything. If I did then life would be a real mess wouldn't it. And It isn't really a biggie as I will ask on Monday when I get to the brew. I'll just head down a little earlier just to be sure.

I signed on Monday as I mentioned last week. As you may remember a few years ago I had a advisor called Rowan. I had a bit of a hard time with her trying to ban me from signing on. Well that was who signed me on this week. When I heard that she was processing me I went into protective mode. What I mean is I put my phone onto record. After the last time I wanted to be sure I had proof if things went into a sticky mire. I wasn't expecting how pleasant she seemed to be. Still I remained on guard just in case she found reason to cause me difficulty. She didn't which was a relief. I really felt a panic when I was told she was signing me on. I know it has been well over five years since she caused me so much trouble last time. I really felt at that time that she was out to get me even though I was trying to find work, as I am now. So with the fear in the back of my head the best thing I thought was to have my phone on. As I did for months last time I had to deal with her. In the end it seemed like she had forgotten me and even seemed pleasant. I suppose when you deal with as many people as she does then it is easy to forget those you affect in your daily work. Easier for me to remember though which is a good thing as it gave me the chance to be prepared.
