A week of painting and still there is more to do. Decorating is good once you finish but can be such a pain as it eats up the days. It has left me little time for much else though I am almost finished with the first chapter of my next tale. The smell of gloss is giving me a headache as it always does. I don’t mind emulsion but gloss just makes me feel ill. I’ll be glad when it’s done, I can tell you. I like the prep work to get everything ready to look fresh and new. Of course I also enjoy the feeling when you look at it when it’s done. Hopefully that won’t take much now. My wife will do the lining paper and I will coat it in the colours of her choice. I just hope she doesn’t change her mind half way through, hehehe.
Tonight I’m going to relax with a drink with my friend Mickey. He was around giving me a hand during the week. He did his driving test yesterday, first time and he passed. My wife and I got him a joke card to congratulate him on his achievement. I don’t drive which is probably for the good. As a younger man I was more interested in driving but neglected the need for going legal, to my shame. At times though I wish I had learned to drive properly yet at the same time I believe I wouldn’t be very good at it. For that reason as much as anything holds me back from learning. Still there moments when it would be good to have the ability, never mind the vehicle. That is usually in the early hours when waiting for a bus to take you to work or home at night. At those times you know that if you could drive then you would have the extra half hour in bed or be home that bit sooner. Then again you would also have the expense that goes with cars, maintenance, insurance and of course tax. The things that make you poorer.

It has been snowing in my part of the world. I'm not a fan of it but Magz loves it. She couldn't stop herself from going to the front door last night to watch as it fell. I just wished she would come indoors and close the door to keep the heat it. More fell today which makes me dread Monday morning as it will make getting to work harder. It was bad enough heading home last night. Even the bus driver wasn't happy. It's always the same when it gets wintry as people seem to forget how to drive. Yeah you do have to be more careful in icy conditions. But come on do you really have to slowdown to the point where pedestrians are walking faster than you driving? When you do that you become a greater hazard than the snow. By all means take a bit more care just don't go overboard as some of us are wanting to get home for the weekend.
I have finally got my Cobra Mk III in Elite Dangerous. I also equipped it with a fuel scoop so I can go out further exploring. I check out how it works on youtube. I thought it best before setting out, that is tonight's plan. Of course I will try it out close to habited space so I can get repairs easily. One thing is watching for heat damage as you circle a star to get fuel and I have suffered from that before by not getting out the stars way quickly enough after jumping into a system. I think most of us have had that as newbie's to the game. Anyways wish me luck for tonight.
