My Lulu troubles still are on going. I did get word back but it far from resolved the issues I have. I sent in my reply and now await them getting back in touch.
My wife has finished checking over Bublos, making recommendations on where more is needed. Luckily it is in only a couple of places, with more typos than I would like to sort out as well. It’s strange how they always creep into your writing. No matter how hard you work to eliminate them you always seem to find more. Sometimes I think it the word processing package not saving it 100% correctly. That will just be my paranoia though. I got the cover finished for the book and have started searching around for publishers. I did find one or two epulishers which don’t ask for cash and so look like they offer a good service. What I didn’t see on there sites was forums to gauge what others experience is with them. More research is needed before I decide how to go. I have the time as at the moment my job search is going no-where. The job market is very empty for those of us with few skills. Well not a great deal I can do about that, just keep searching and hope that something comes my way soon.

21st January 2011

Great news this week at work, I might be getting kept on. One of my fellow workers got a new job so today was his last day. That means there is now an opening, which is good for me. When I asked my line supervisor today what the chances of me being kept on he said that it was “very good.” You can’t get much better than that. It may be minimum wage but a job in this day and age is still better than the brew (unemployment).
Woking does mean that there is less time for writing but I do get the weekends for that. Talking of which my son has begun reading through my next book, Banshee Fires of Revenge. My sister has the same printer as I do so she lent me her to print up my story. Hopefully he won’t take to long with it. That just means me nagging him a bit to get reading or he’ll take forever. I can’t blame him though as he has his own interests though he does like to read as well. I also finished the cover ands uploaded that and the synopsis to my site and GoodReads.com.
I will now need to start getting my plot together for my next tale. I’ve been thinking about it for a few months now trying to figure out how to approach it. It isn’t a horror this time but more of a speculative fiction set in the future, a dark tale though. I’ve even been thinking of a title yet I’ll decide when it is done whether to go with one of two I have in mind. Of course I don’t want to say too much about it just yet.
As to my troubles with the Jobcentre and Tax Credits well as I said the other week it has finally been sorted. God is certainly smiling on me today, “Thanks Big Man.”

24th May 2014

So glad that I have a long weekend this week. More trouble from the bothersome supervisor at work created a stressful week. On Thursday at the end of the day he accused me of throwing an empty plastic bottle at him. I was as childish as him for my answer was to tell him if I did throw something it would be harder than a silly plastic bottle. He didn't like that and threatening to get rid of me. At which I walked away as it was time to go get changed to go home. I didn't even argue any further than telling him that was fine. I think that annoyed him more. Because he told me to go tell the boss. Well as I was waiting the last minute to clock out and the main man happened to be walking by so I did as he told me. He told me to talk to the head supervisor which I have in the past to no avail. This time though it seems to have worked as yesterday when I got to work I was told I had been, at last, moved to the butchers department. I get on well with Wee John the head there and I have worked there before. The reason for me being moved was because of me being trained on the retort. I still will have to cover those when Jim is off or on his break as well as after he leaves for the day. So no change there. I am free though of Storming Norman and that isn't because he's like the great general that he got that name.
As for this long four days off. Well It gives me time to do some weeding, relaxing and gaming. I've already done some relaxing plus weeding with a little bit more gaming thrown in to forget about work. I think that is just what we all do though. In our own ways that is. And it is especially true when it has been a troublesome week. I half expected to get the sack again. After all I don't know what Storming had to say but going on his accusations to me it wouldn't have been good. Luckily I still have a job.
