Phoned the Jobcentre today to get signing back on. Like most of us it’s not something I like doing though there is little option. As I said last week, my job came to an end on Wednesday. Now I start looking for more work or win the lotto, which is not likely. Anyways in the mean time I can get on with my writing though I didn’t do any yesterday as I was working on my garden. Finishing of the fence I was putting up. I’ve still got to put a gate on it but I don’t have the materials to do that or the money to get them, so it will wait till I can. My daughter volunteered to paint the fence as well as the hut which I got up at the weekend as hoped. She did a great job; my son helped at first but couldn’t put up with me telling him how to do it. I gave them both a fiver for the effort though my daughter did wonder why I gave her brother the same as she got. That was until I pointed out the fact that he had helped with the fence, mind if it hadn’t been for my mate Mickey I doubt if I would have got it up at all.
This weekend I’ll need to see if I can check on all the links from this site. I believe some have moved or become dead, so I need to check them all again and get them sorted. I also need to add some that I have been planning to add for a while though not found the time to get the work done. So a lot of fun as you can imagine messing about trying to avoid the frustration such things cause.

Another small mistake on the retort this week, I didn’t leave one of the boilers venting long enough. I was short by only three minutes. I should have vented for ten but in my haste to do the job I made the error. It means that the cans that were in to cook had to be put on hold for two weeks and then tested to make sure they are fine to send out on order. The cooking time after venting was run for the full time so they will probably be okay. It does show though that less haste is always best unfortunately it is a lesson that I have always had a problem with learning. Too eager that is my trouble.
I had to take down my blog on my website this week after weeks of being inundated with loads of spam posts in the comments section. Each night it has been taking longer to delete them till finally it began causing the site to crash. In the end I was forced to give up the battle though I may set my blog back up on the site in the future at some point. For the time being GoodReads.com will be the only place where I past this blog. I hope that anyone who read this blog on my site will find their way to reading it on Goodreads.
I’m also planning to add some of my poetry to my site. That might be something for me to do this weekend if I find the time. I have a few poems to work on this Saturday and Sunday that I did this week. If fact over the past couple of weeks I have found that I have been writing more than usual though not any of the stories that fill my head screaming to get out. I have been enjoying verse though as I always have. I may not be that great at it but that really isn’t the point of it. It is about expressing the imagery or idea that you have in mind. At least that is my take on it.
