Using Influence to Promote Your Indie Books

I’m relatively new to indie publishing with only four e-books currently on Amazon.  What I am not new to is reading business books and applying their lessons to improve performance. One thing that has stood out to me as I’ve researched the best way to get the word out about my books is some of [...]

Keystone Habits – Lesson 2

Anyone who successfully changes their habits owes a debt of gratitude to Eugene Pauly. Without Pauly none of us would have the level of understanding of habits that we do today.  Sadly, Pauly was able to transform our knowledge through the loss of any recollection of his life, forgetting those closest to him and the [...]

Keystone Habits – Lesson 1

Like many business people I love to read about productivity, time management, organization and habits.  When I take a step back though and analyze why I read about these topics I realize that constantly searching for the latest tip, trick, hack or strategy is not the answers I’m really looking for. What I want is [...]

Using Hootsuite to Promote Your Book on Facebook Groups

How to properly promote your book as an indie author is a common topic in books and on websites, blogs and forums. For those enrolled in Amazon’s KDP program using free days (up to 5 days for every 90 you are enrolled in the program)  to get the word out, get as many downloads as [...]

11/13/14 - Thursday

I love to read nonfiction books. Mostly business, but everything from history to science to anything Roy Peter Clark has written.

I think I've learned enough and seen enough over 20 years of business to have something useful to offer my readers.

I'm shy, introverted and worked in sales for over 10 years.

I read some Kindle e-books and think, "I know I can do better than this."

My son was born last September and I don't want to tell him to chase his dreams if I've never chased mine.

My company went under last month and we are having our second child in May.

This is my writing journey.

I have three books on Kindle select and have sold four copies.
