Joe Fisher is a 24 year resident of Sanibel and is passionate about the importance of loved ones reading to young children on a frequent basis. Rusty the Forgotten Fire Engine is his first children’s book and is the written version of a story her created and told his children when they were young.

I write using a #2 pencils and a legal pad and do a lot of iterative writing -- writing a page or two and then go back to rewrite it almost immediately. Scissors and scotch tape are my word processor.

When stymied I will get out the PC and type almost stream of consciousness using Word, making no attempt to rewrite on the fly. That breaks the log jam and reading it the next day I find about 75% of what I wrote isn't half bad(less)
