Floris Kleijne is an experienced suspense author, called "one of the best Dutch thriller writers" by Veronica Magazine.

For his award-winning first novel, the thriller Klaverblad (Schaduwprijs for best debut thriller of the year), he found inspiration in real-life cases of wholesale real estate and IPO fraud.

Its sequel Kleinste kwaad (2024), about the kidnapping of five high school students, was nominated for the Gouden Strop (the foremost Dutch award) for best thriller of the year.

Book three in this Zorah Thijssen-trilogy appears in July 2026: Kruisweg .
