C.Y. CHONG was born in Malaysia of Chinese parentage. Upon completion of his schooling at a Jesuit-run school in Kuala Lumpur, he set off for London. Qualifying as a chartered accountant, Chiew worked in the Far East and in Europe where he held senior financial positions at a number of major international corporations. In 1991 he decided he needed a change, and, almost by accident, he joined WWF – Worldwide Fund for Nature, where he remained for several years, leaving only in 2012.

I found it an interesting and enjoyable - although at times it was stressful as I wanted the book to be as perfect as possible. It's something to read a book (which I enjoy doing) but then I found out that when one 'sits on the other side of the table' as a writer, it's an entirely different thing. For me, the best thing about being a writer is that I could enjoy the experience of writing - plus since then, I now really appreciate how much work is involved in any book I come across!(less)
