It's Finally Here!

Pugs and Kisses is up on Amazon, my newest collection. I hope this one will be well-received like my others, especially Coffee and a Beagle. This one was a labor of love (despite all the starts and stops along the way! I've never had a book take so long to write).

The idea was inspired by Rex, our pug. My husband and I didn't want a dog (messes, work, expense - messes!), so our boys started praying for a dog. Within a few months of those prayers reaching the Lord, Rex joined our family. When I first saw the bobble-eyed pup, I told my husband that he was so ugly I wasn't sure I could love him, haha. But I did, very much. He provided us with so many laughs. He was seriously gross at times but oh-so funny. He lived fourteen years and we miss him. It was fun writing the stories and remembering all the funny things he did.

So I hope you'll enjoy my latest offering! Thanks for reading my books! Many blessings to you!

It's Good To Be Back!

Hello, and sorry I dropped off the map for a year with nothing new coming your way! I had to take a break because life, well, it took a different turn. It makes me think of the Disney movie, the Emperor's New Groove, when Kuzco says, "You threw off my groove!" My groove for writing suddenly up and left! Yet it was God redirecting me for a time and it was good. "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but the Lord's counsel will stand." I wasn't sure I would even get back to it, but here I am with a new book released through Amazon.

The Duke's Lovely Lady was inspired by my love for Regency romances. I also loved Barbara Cartland with her fancy lords and ladies. It doesn't fall in line with what I typically write but it was a fun project. If you read it, I hope you will enjoy it.

As a special thank you to my readers, I encourage you to check out my weekend promotions on Amazon. I'm always giving something away for free. I love putting up new books and I want them to be a blessing to you. So much in life is costly; enjoy a few free reads on me. :) Best wishes to you!

Ditching the Stress / Coming Soon!

You know that agitated, upset, stressed, frustrated feeling? I've been having that a lot lately and I'm not normally like that. There have been some causes (like a roof leak!) but sometimes I've been feeling this way for no obvious reason. It's easy to say, "well, you just need to pray about it." I have. And I have. And I have. But it was still there, nagging at me.

And then I had an "aha!" moment. There is a difference between talking to God about your concerns and actually handing them over. I've been doing a lot of talking but not a lot of casting my cares. God doesn't want us to just cry on His shoulder, He wants us to hand over the mess. I recently read a great quote that said "Give it to God and go to sleep." I don't know who came up with it but I thank them for it! At the root of casting our cares is trust. We can trust that God cares about the problem. We can trust He has the solution. And we can trust He will resolve it without our constant supervision. Bottom line, I have to hand over my stress and concern then walk away (or go to sleep). That's my lesson for me, but maybe it'll speak to you or someone you know as well.

Thanks for reading my first entry. It may or may not be a great intro, but it's a peek into my world. I plan to pop back with more thoughts and encouragement so check back with me.

Also, I'm excited to share my newest project in the making. It's along the same lines as my Sweetlin Bakery Series, which got a great response (especially Coffee and a Beagle) - thank you all! This new one is an anthology built around Pugs, inspired by my own Pug, Rex. If you've ever been around a Pug, then you know they bring comedy to life. :)

Thanks so much for reading! Best wishes and many blessings to you!
