In the Guardian today, there was an article about why journalism degrees matter. It was written by Roy Greenslade who seemed to use much of the article, strangely enough, to discuss how newsrooms have become too homogeneous, that not enough working-class people can enter journalism, that school can be a waste of time. Only near the end of his piece does he get down to his point. It would appear his best argument is that editors continue to hire graduates with journalism degrees. Greenslade then
