There comes a time in all writers lives where the need to edit their rough draft. One of my first steps after putting my story through Grammarly is to examine the protagonist. These are my top questions I ask myself. (Grammarly is an editing program)

1) Does (P) stand out?
2) Does (P) get overshadowed by another strong character?
3) Does (P) not overcome enough in the story to show progression?
4)Does (P) seem likable and if not is there a turning point where she becomes likable.
5) What are the (P) weaknesses and strength and if they have any are they clear for the reader to understand.

I realised that my protagonist blends to much with a few strong characters. I need to make her stronger and there for I gave her weakness to come over that pushes her to be strong. I gave her an anxiety issue that causes panic attacks. This will also create tension that my story is lacking at the moment. (I'm still learnin
