Deconstructing the conditions of Closed Hips and Tight Psoas (in Thai massage).

From my seminar: ‘Why Certain Parts of Your Body do not Open Easily in Yoga’
The overall condition of closed hips actually consists of four individual conditions:
1. Tightness at the top of the Adductor/Gracilis.
2. Compression in the AIIS (Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine).
3. Contraction at the top of the hamstrings (TCM BL36).
4. Compression in the Gallbladder meridian running through the glutes (TCM GB30)
These four conditions are, in turn, governed by:
A. Blocked energy in the spine between L5/S1.
B. Blocked energy in the Superior Articular Process either side of L5/S1.
C. Blocked energy at the top of the Sacro-iliac Joint.
These three conditions are rooted in:
The energetic condition in the Hara.
The energetic condition of the Hara also determines the physiological condition of the Psoas.
Finally, the condition of the Hara is determined by the energies entering the body through the Navel.
This is the reverse-engineered diagnosis of the conditions of:
Closed Hips & Tight Psoas.
So, in domino-effect, from origin to final manifestation, the diagnosis of Closed Hips & Tight Psoas (which are utterly connected) is as follows:
Navel.
Hara.
L5/S1 leading to tightness in the tops of the adductors
SAPs leading to contraction at the tops of the hamstrings
Sacro-iliac Joints leading to compression in the glutes.
Compression in the AIIS is determined by blockage in the Stomach Meridian running through the AIIS.
