The Height of Pillar is my newest novel. If you love swords and friendship, it will be right up your alley.
The first time I released my book, I didn't even have an author facebook page. I just emailed or called everyone I knew and told them about the book. I handled most of my sales myself and did a lot of mailing. Some people just never paid for the books, but my record keeping was so bad that I couldn't tell you who. Except one guy. I think Cliff forgot to send me a check...
The release of the sequel has been much smoother and more successful. Part of my campaign was asking my closest fans to spread the word, share my link on Facebook, and call even just one other person who they could convince to buy the book. I also urged everyone to buy it in a short period of time, so the amazon bestseller ranking would improve.
Currently it is still rising and is at #214 in fantasy books!
Any thoughts from other authors on effective book releases would be much appreciated.
