looking for ideas for panel topics for a writers conference that would be interesting, fun, or just crazy..so tired of the same tired worn out discussions...if you've heard a good topic or can think of one, hope you'll let me in on it...thanks

Like most folks in this business, I simply wanted to write, and the only thing I'd ever read were novels. I didn't care for short stories or poetry, etc., so I just dove in and hoped for the best, and it was awful. I knew I had a lot of stories, but knew absolutely nothing about how to actually write them in a way others would want to read what I thought were wonderful adventures.
What inspired you to write your first novel?
