We've all heard the cliches: life isn't a destination, it's a journey; every journey begins with a single step; and blah, blah, blah...

Truth is, they're all true, that's why they've reached the hallowed halls of cliche-dom.

And like all of those cliches, today I begin my own journey with a first step. I've made lots of journeys before--I've traveled a good portion of this planet--but this is my first feeble effort at publishing fiction. So be kind, dear reader, that's all I ask. I am the first to admit I am not the most talented writer in the world. Heck, I'm not even in the top ten percent. You want brilliant writing, check out George R. R. Martin, or Ray Bradbury, or Charles Dickens, or Patrick Rothfus, or Stephen King, or any number of other great writers already out there. But if you've been struggling across an empty desert wasteland of edgy and dark and vampires and warlocks and you thirst for stories that are both heartfelt and honorable and make the world a better place, then I'm your guy.

I honestly believe stories have the power to change opinions and lives and bring joy and inspiration to others, and you can count on me to try and do all of that.

So, won't you join me on this new adventure? Together we will meet new people and travel to new places, and laugh and cry and hold each other's hand, and be better for the experience.
