After witnessing a car accident and reading about the fatalities in many other accident reports due to drunk drivers who walked away unharmed, I wondered how can those drivers live with themselves afterwards.

This is how my Piers character was born. He finds redemption in work, helped by the love of a good woman, away from his privileged background.
