And if this looks like the beginning of a paragraph, then it’s safe to say I’m now able to write blog posts using Markdown, and wow, it’s a lot less fiddly than using the WordPress visual/text editors!

I initially opted to use a WordPress plugin created by Brett Terpstra who develops various Markdown tools, but this plugin was a little buggy when used with my current version of WordPress, so I am now using WordPress’s JetPack markdown features, which simply let me write and post – unlike Brett’s plugin there is no “convert” button to press before posting.
