Meet the Cast
Welcome to my first official blog, and just why am I blogging you may be asking?
Firstly, as the release date for my first novel "A Little Band Of Red" looms closer, I wanted to share my experiences as a first time author with others who might be about to start on the same process, or those who have already done it and might have some good advice to share.
Secondly, I like to talk about books, characters, plot twists, any of it really and my foray into the world of writing has been an interesting one, full of surprises, so why not share.
And I have other things to share as well; deleted scenes from the many revisions, more teasers from upcoming books, weird advice that has helped me no end and character profiles with intriguing facts about the cast who are about to steal your hearts and imagination.
So spread the word, hold on tight and lets do this.
Meet the cast
Excerpts from "A Little Band Of Red"

With a little thud, Luke’s glass hit the bar, his phone a second later, his text all but forgotten. The rising frustration that had been surging through him was also gone as the couple emerged across the room.
Adam towered over her, murmuring something. Luke understood the tone if not the command. The young Dom sat and the woman hesitated, challenging him for a moment before she gracefully dropped to her knees.
If she’d been his, no one had ever been his, but if she had been, he’d have reprimanded her for that transgression regardless of how insignificant it appeared. In his fantasy, his delusional, unrealistic fantasy between himself and his submissive, virginal masochist, there would be absolute trust. She would respond so that he wouldn’t have to. They would be perfectly aligned, his will woven around her heart. But for that to happen, for that ultimate understanding, a language without words, she’d have to be taught. Luke believed in swift but fair punishment, breaking a habit before it began. Except he wouldn’t be breaking anything anymore.
He didn’t even know why he was still here, thinking about a woman he’d seen for all of two seconds. She was everything he didn’t want. A submissive in a club, someone willing to be used, yet for some reason, he wasn’t moving away. Instead he shifted a little to the left so he could see her better. Adam leaned back, his shadow lifting, the woman between his knees turning just as the light caught her face.
“Jesus.” Luke hissed.

PJ was speechless, totally caught up in India’s spell. She honestly couldn’t imagine belonging to someone on that level, the trust she’d have to have. Maybe it was just too soon after Sam’s betrayal, but the thought of giving her heart or body to any man was terrifying, and yet ….
“Oh, you’re thinking about it, I can tell. Would you go? I mean you’ve got the book, you must be interested.”
Was she? Was that why she’d spent half an hour reading the notice board in the sex shop where she’d bought her new vibrator, her mind racing between one fantasy and the next as she mentally answered all the ads, agreeing to some requests whilst vehemently refusing others?
“Think about it, PJ, it’s only for five weeks.”
“I honestly know nothing. I don’t even know if I’m submissive and I hate pain so that,” PJ turned to the next page, flashing the glossy photo of a woman bound in rope, spread eagled on a cross, her ass and back, bright red and raised with welts, “is my worst nightmare, although he’s pretty hot.” Standing beside the woman was a man wearing nothing but a tight pair of black jeans and the cruelest smile PJ had ever seen. There was a harshness to him, his eyes cold as he gazed down at the woman yet his confidence was alluring. A man like that wouldn’t leave her waiting, wondering what he was thinking, she’d never have to try and interpret his cryptic comments or empty compliments. A man like that, PJ could trust and as she’d recently found out, without trust, there was nothing.
Enjoy, Lily.
