Download Free Kindle and Nook Apps
Welcome to the World of Ebooks, folks. I know - you love sitting by the pool, on the back porch, by the fire or what not with the "real thing" in your hands, but ... the world of publishing is changing. Yes, paper paged books will still be available, but there are pluses to reading digital versions like cost. Pay less and eat more, that's my motto.
Get on the bandwagon - it's much less expensive then you think, because you don't have to buy a reader. I own a Kindle (thank you Lisa), but learned early that you can download it FREE from Amazon.com. That's why I'm here. Not because I've got stuff coming out in ebook format soon, but because there's a lot of good reading out there now. So below I'm going to go through the steps of how to download a program. I'm going to cover the Kindle and Nook. Those are two I'm familiar with:
Kindle:
1. Go to htpp://www.amazon.com
2. On the left, beneath Shop All Departments, put cursor on arrow to the right of Kindle.
3. Scroll down to Free Kindle Reading Apps and click.
4. To the right of the pic choose the one you need: iPhone, Windows PC, Mac, BlackBerry, iPad, Android and Windows Phone 7
5. Follow the steps for the download and you're set.
Nook:
1. Go to http://www.barnesandnoble.com/
2. Put cursor on NOOK near top of page.
3. A menu opens - at the bottom right there's a list of FREE NOOK Apps
4. Click on what you need and follow the steps.
Download your program and where ever you got it take a look at the books. There's a lot of good (inexpensive) reading out there.
Hope I helped someone.
