Thought Perception

So I had this mind blowing alteration to my perception of things today while I was reading Wake by Robert J. Sawyer, there is another way that people percieve thoughts than I actully percieve them.

You see because of language, many people percieve thoughts through their language and understand them that way.

I myself have a very different way I percieve my thoughts. Everything in my head is a visual. No matter what I am doing I am seeing a picture in my head, not hearing or seeing language, I am seeing the literal visual presentation of the thought or concept in my head.

Do you understand how strange it was for me to comprehend the fact that there are people out there that don't see visuals in their heads when they are being talked to or are thinking.

This baffles me. Actually to tell you the truth, as I only can comprehend thoughts in the way that they go through my head and they are all pictures, anyone out there that doesn't see pictures everytime they think about something, could you try and explain to me how exactly it is you percieve your thoughts. I want to understand. My mind is stalling at this sudden realization that they way I percieve things is SOOO much different than the way other people percieve things.

I always understood that people couldn't quite see things the way I do, but this whole concept of actually seeing my thoughts differently than others is WAY beyond what I thought was possible.

Have I rambled enough yet?

In other news, I got myself a new kitty and named her Oona. She helps with the pain of loosing Makoto and my sister being sick. I'm starting to love her very much!
