There's little more precious than time, and little harder to part with than hard-earned money.  There is nothing in the world more wonderful for an author than having someone spend both on something we've produced, and then be glad enough they've done so to tell you about it.  There is a satisfaction-- no, a  joy we feel that can never be explained.
