Most BNAs I've seen in person were pleasant and approachable folks. Each has their own personality. Walter Mosely (seen 3X) is eloquent but outspoken on his passionate topics. His
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is one of the best books I've read in 2011. Marcia Muller was funny while J.A. Janice serenaded us with her rendition of "Seventeen."
David Baldacci, a big literary champion, told the same airport anecdote twice. It was funny both times. George Pelecanos talked about his writing process like how he names the characters in his crime novels. I missed seeing Donald Westlake, a disappointment. I like his Parker titles.
Usually I bought a copy of the author's book, at least before the economy took a beating. Now I have to be more selective.
