Review-a-Palooza
Tomorrow morning I am sending out a newsletter that opens up a challenge/contest for early access to the first few entries of AUD's new upcoming book.
In order to play along, and get those first few entries, you will NEED to be signed up for the newsletter. It's the only way I can guarantee you'll see the messages. Facebook here is inconsistent with what it shows to people now, and I can't control it without forking over hundreds of dollars just to get them to show my post to the people who've signed up and liked the page.
That being said...
An easy way to sign up is posted below in this post, and the email starting the whole shebang will go out tomorrow morning, but let this be the first moments of it all.
Thanks everyone, and I hope you enjoy lending me a hand, and getting some early stuff for your efforts.
Let Review-a-Palooza commence. Here's a summary of what to expect:
You know how I'm always begging for reviews? Do you want to know why? I have done the math on it, and the rate of return on book purchases to reviews is something along the lines of 2%. Two percent. If math isn't your strong suit, that means for every one hundred books I sell, I get about two reviews.
For some titles it's as high as 5%, and for some it's as low as like, a tenth of a percent, and that sucks. So many people search out books and check the reviews to see if it's a legitimate title worth buying and the lower a book's reviews, the less likely they are to buy it. Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, or Audible. Doesn't matter, and the more the merrier. I'd bet some of you purchased one or more of my titles based solely on the reviews you read from one of those sites, or from what a friend or family member said about the books.
I need more reviews. Well more accurately, I want more reviews.
Honest reviews preferably.
Ergo, I present Review-a-Palooza to you, my loyal and usually fairly interested readers.
Review-a-palooza has been broken up into four cycles, each cycle lasting about three weeks. The first cycle begins now, and ends on June 30th. During each cycle if you read and write a review for a specific title of mine, and respond to the email that opens the cycle, you get something from me for having read the titles and written the review(s). Each week you can continue the challenge to the next cycle and earn a neater reward. You've gotta do the prior weeks to earn the latter week prizes though.
No cuts, no butts, no coconuts. Santa's watching.
Reviews can be written and posted to Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com, Audible.com, or Goodreads.com to count. If you really, really want to make my day, you can copy and paste your reviews across all or some of those platforms to help me everywhere potential readers might find me.
By cycle, here are the titles you'll need to review, the dates you'll need to review them by, and what you'll get for having done that challenge beyond my love and adoration.
Cycle One: Read and review Dark Recollections, and the First AUD Omnibus by June 30th. If you do, I'll send you a free email with Valentine's Day, an AUD side fiction about Abby that has previously only been available via premium on the AUD website. You've also completed part one of the four part cycle.
Cycle Two: Read and review Tesser: A Dragon Among Us, and At Least He's Not on Fire by July 22nd. If you do, I'll send you the first entry from The Last Resort, the upcoming AUD book.
Cycle Three: Read and review The Wrath of the Orphans and the Second AUD Omnibus by August 12th. If you do, I'll send you the second entry of The Last Resort.
Fourth and final cycle: Read and review two of: The Motive for Massacre, The Echoes of Sin, or Ambryn & the Cheaters of Death by September 2nd. If you do, I'll send you the third entry of The Last Resort.
Now, if you're one of those overachievers that helps me afford diapers, and to pay my electric bill you can go over and above. Once the fourth cycle is completed, if you send me proof that you have written and reviewed ALL of my published works, you'll be entered into a drawing for one of five Advanced Reader Copies of The Last Resort, signed by me, and maybe with a bit of drool from my daughter Willow. We'll see how she feels in the moment. Newborns are fickle like that.
My published titles in total are:
Dark Recollections
Alone No More
Midnight
The Failed Coward
Wrath
In the Arms of Family
The Trinity
Cassie
The Wrath of the Orphans
The Motive for Massacre
The Echoes of Sin
Elmoryn's Complete Kinless Trilogy
Tesser: A Dragon Among Us
Ambryn & the Cheaters of Death
The Adrian's Undead Diary Omnibus: Volume One
The Adrian's Undead Diary Omnibus: Volume Two
Unhappy Endings: Tales from the world of Adrian's Undead Diary
London Burns: Tales from the world of Adrian's Undead Diary volume two
At Least He's Not On Fire: A Tour of the Things That Escape My Head
And here's the link to the newsletter.
