For some reason Paula Cole popped up as someone I might like to listen to on Spotify today and I have been listening for three songs now. It's amazing to see how much I've grown in the past 15-20 years since some of these were popular. Man, I have seen so many things, made so many mistakes (both big and small), created a beautiful life and child whom I can't imagine life without and seen so much change in my own life and those around me. I've seen people welcome new family members and been there when they said goodbye to others. I've seen my mom in a position where I wondered if I'd ever her her say "hey little girl" to me ever again. I've said goodbye to some loves and welcomed others.

I've self-published three novels. I have three others I need to edit and get out there.

One thing I have summed this all up as in my heart is this: life is a beautiful and sometimes painful journey, but the only way to live it is by being who you are right at that moment, experiencing it. As we start a new year, let us remember the past and those things that brought joy to our hearts, forgive the hurts and learn from the mistakes so that we may go on and experience even more of the journey on this world.
