On Tuesday, I spoke at Career Day at the Pathways Charter School in West Bend. It was a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoy speaking about the cool things I've done in my writing career and the neat aspects of my career.
The folks at the school said if I could speak for about 30 minutes that'd be plenty good enough. It wound up going for an hour. I had so much fun answering so many questions from the kids. They thought it was so cool to be a sports writer and an even cooler to be an author.
The best part about it is when some of those kids, grades 7-9, came up to me afterward and said thank you for coming and that they really enjoyed meeting me and listening to me talk. I had a smile on my face the rest of the day.
What a thrill.
