Why I Write

Why I write...

TL Fisher

When I write... it's like falling in love for the very first time. I swoon over an idea until I commit to the execution.
When I write... a deep and meaningful relationship is created between me and my characters. I want their image and their story to consume me and swallow me deep into their bowels, where they digest me slowly and sometimes painfully.
When I write... I open a lens into the deepest crevice of my imagination and allow anyone and everyone a glimpse into my private thoughts. Writing is intimate. Writing is sensual.
I write... because with it comes a satisfaction, knowing I have created a world that failed to exist before my pen glided across the snowy white paper. Maybe this reason is pure egoism and nobody cares what images float around in my head. Maybe my reason is eccentric or a derivative of the stories that clutter my thoughts, waiting for some sort of creative release.
Either way... I am content and happiest when the words are spilling out of my head and flowing onto the paper like a graceful dancer elegantly floating under the warm glow of the spot light.
