SHTF: The Battle for San Francisco
“Don’t let those things bite you. They ain’t human…not anymore. If you have a weapon, don’t be afraid to use it!”
It’s just another day, or so it seems. Pete wakes to static on his clock radio. Suddenly, an emergency message declaring martial law and warning people to stay indoors interrupts the white noise. There’s a prerecorded message from the President on all the television channels. As Pete listens in shock, hiss neighbor begins pounding on his front window, her flesh gray and her eyes cloudy, biting at the air with her teeth.
Mike, Pete’s coworker, calls and stirs Pete from his state of shock. He’s on his way to the mountains. He’s got a cabin and supplies. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work out so well for Mike. But there’s Anna, the girl Pete’s been meaning to ask out. She’s still alive and they set out to find some place safe and pray this is all a bad dream.
Days later, a message on short wave radio promises there’s safety in San Francisco. Hope! That’s all Pete needs to forge ahead. Pete and Anna meet other survivors, military men, along the way and find the sanctuary they were promised. Safety, however, is fleeting. When the horde arrives, Pete and his friends must fight to protect their new home. They must wage the battle of San Francisco.
SHTF: The Battle for San Francisco is the first in a new series of post apocalyptic fiction. The story is full of action, suspense, a bit of humor and a lot of human drama. You’ll follow the characters as they face life in a new, horrifying world and learn to survive.
