Dear Sarah,My heart hurts for you as you care for your mother. Even though these moments are hard and you are caring for her in ways you never thought you would, they are precious and even magical. This time spent with her will change you. You will eventually look back and realize what a gift it has been. I pray for your strength in the days ahead. I look forward to your new book, but I understand where your heart and soul need to be focused. Hold onto your courage and compassion, but look for joy each day.
I have walked in your shoes. It is not an easy path.
warmly,
marlee marshall
I'm sorry to hear your mother has been ill. I'll be sending prayers and positive energy to your family. Much love.

So sorry to hear of your mother's health challenges. I am eagerly awaiting a new book from you, but will be patient as you travel this road with your mother. May you gather precious memories that will last you a lifetime. When you're ready to publish again, just know that it will be eagerly received by numerous SAA fans :) Take care of yourself too...
Sweet Sarah - Your fans are devoted and will be patiently waiting the release of your next novel- be that 2017 or 2020. For now, take every minute that you have with your mother. These are the times and the things that matter most, you will never look back and regret that extra day you spent with your mother instead of writing. Sending every bit of positive energy and love to you and your mother.
Happy to hear about your book, but sad to hear about your mom. Hopefully your luck in the health department has a dramatic swing to the positive.
Taking care of ones parents is so hard, especially when they are ill. My heart goes out to you Sarah. Just know that we all are sending you love and positive thoughts. Don't forget to take care of yourself too...
So sorry to hear about your mother - sending positive vibes and wishes. Can't wait for the new book but take care of you and your family first!
Family first, Sarah! I will add my prayers and positive thoughts to all the rest being sent your way. The book can wait. Your fans can reread their favorites instead.
Lots of love and prayers for your mother; I also admire that you keep yourself stronger during tough times. It's a kind of trait that I would also want to possess when life gives you difficult obstacles.
I hope you are well and your Mom is comfortable. Stay strong..we will be here ready for a new book when the time arrives. I wish you peace and time to enjoy your surroundings.
Writing is a great medicine! I'm so sorry to hear this is happening to your family and hope everything will be okay. Looking forward to your new book :)
I'm sorry to hear this news about your mother. Take care and know that your loyal readers will wait for you.
Sending magical thoughts your way! Re-reading The Sugar Queen is on my summer reading list. IF AND ONLY IF i had to pick which one of yours is my favorite, it would be The Sugar Queen! BTW, I'm also still enjoying your calendar. Thank you again for that.
Sending positive thoughts your way and hoping things go well for your mother. We fans will be here, waiting, whenever your next book is ready.
Dear Sarah,Your books have given me so much joy especially during times of chronic illness and flare ups of bad pain. Thank you <3

"But behind all your stories is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begins." - Mitch Albom, For One More DayYou and your mom have all your readers' support!
Prayers for you and your family. My mother passed early this year after a 16 month struggle, in and out of hospitals, rehab centers etc. Very stressful as you want so desperately to do something, anything to make it a little easier. Take care of her, and yourself. And thank you for your wonderful writing, your world's are magical, a real escape. Thank you and be well.
Oh Sarah! I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Please give her all of our best--she's in my prayers!
Sarah, I always enjoyed visiting with your mom when she would stop by and shop at my mom's store in downtown Asheville (frock boutique). She gave me a pen to promote your newest book at the time (First Frost) and I think she is a wonderful, feisty, and beautiful lady. I've wondered how she was doing lately and will keep her and all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Jenny Lane
(((Sarah))), I lost my mom back in February, to congestive heart failure. The blessing was that Alzheimer's did not take her. I was blessed to share her last six days with her, and it was truly incredible. Relish all this time you have with Mom... I miss your writing, and look forward to whatever you bring us, next.
May you and your mom grow all the more thru all of this...
With love,
Donna
So sorry to hear about your mother, but very excited that there's a new book in the works. I only just discovered your books recently, and read them all in the space of a few weeks. Love love love them all; so glad I found you.Best wishes for you and your mom.
Sarah-You only get one mother, and you are doing the right thing by being by her side right now. Fans will wait, while you tend to her needs.
I am so sorry you are going through this, and I will say a special prayer for your mother. Sending you both a hug, and strength to you both to get you through this rough time.
Dear SarahAs Audreyz says, you only get one mum. When my own mum was terminally ill 4 years ago, like you I put my life on hold to spend as much time as possible with her. It is painful and difficult to watch your dearest lifetime friend vulnerable, but so worthwhile and valuable to you both ultimately.
Kindest wishes to you and your family - your fans will all still be here, waiting patiently when you feel ready.
I am very sorry about your mother. This blog post was months ago, so I hope there has been an improvement. I just finished Garden Spells and it was so purely lovely that I can't stop smiling about it. I read The Girl Who Chased the Moon (which I also loved) and will be reading the rest of your books with purpose. I am looking forward to a new one in 2017!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to check in here with my readers on Goodreads. The past few months have been tough, as my mother has been gravelly ill. That is where most of my energy has been directed lately, but I am still writing, and hope my new book will be completed and published sometime in 2017. I'll be sure to keep you updated. In the meantime, I wish you a magical, delicious summer...
