Family reunions don't happen much, but I love them when we pull it off. I also loved the Lost Hearts series.
My family hasn't had a reunion in years, which is too bad bc I'd love to see everyone. We are very scattered. But my husband's family gets together on a regular basis. It's nice. Usually. ;)
We are scattered too. Some due to health issues can no longer travel. Of course there is always the financial issue, also more of us are retired. My husband's family is very large and then there are the siblings kids, grandkids, cousins and second cousins... My family is small, but also scattered. We are getting closer to getting a livable RV, so dealing with hotels is no longer an issue, as is packing and unpacking constantly. We just had a mini "reunion" this summer. Loved it! Of course it always depends on whether the grumps show up or not. This year ... no grumps

I'm an only child so he was the last of my immediate family, but on his side I have a lot of cousins and he was the last sibling of 12 and we use to have family reunions or just get together just because when he was living. I sure miss that. My husband family have Reunion every Fourth of July. I do attend when I'm not working.
